Blue Bird by Sheri Jones

Blue Bird by Sheri Jones
8 x 10 oil on Raymar Canvas panel
This is a painting I did during our paint out with the Outdoor Painter's Society. We painted inside in the morning. There were three stilll lifes set up and one model to paint from. It was a good choice to be in with temperatures in the 40's outside. The temperatures rose to 80 before the day was out. It's always great to paint with other artist and see their approach to the same subject. This painting is available for purchase. $100.00

*** Upcoming Show-I have a Solo show at Tarlton's Langdon Center-
February 18 - March 16, 2011.
Gallery Night Reception is set for Friday, February 25, 2011 from 6 p.m to 9 p.m. I would love to see you there!

I like how you painted the bird. You had a difficult view of its head, the way its looking straight at you, and you handled it very well.

Beautiful soft darks. This painting is rich in color, but still soft. The ceramic blue bird looks great.
