Cluster of Cedars by Sheri Jones

Cluster of Cedars by Sheri Jones
10 x 8 oil on canvas
This was created plein air from a location outside Acton Nature Center, Acton, Texas. My painting buddy, Jill Randall went to paint a sunset, but arrived early enough to paint one before. I was attracted to the bright light and deep shadows the late day sun did to the Cedar trees.
Finding a place to park the car and stand with a good view is a challenge. We found an old abandoned restaurant on top of the hill that was perfect for us. This painting is available for purchase.$100.00

You are so gifted at seeing color and then painting it.

I like the way the foreground is brighter than the background, it really steps back. Nice shapes and shadows. I also love going plein air painting with you.
