Waxahachie Waterlilies by Sheri Jones

Waxahachie Waterlilies by Sheri Jones
14x7 oil on canvas
I painted this during the Paint Historic Waxahachie paint out this week.  After participating in this event several times I am discovering some of the hidden  spots. A private garden off Main street is one of them. It is shaded and a nice place to spend the afternoon. Water gardens, pathways, out buildings and a wide variety of garden flowers are a welcome site on a hot and sunny day.

This painting will be on displayed at the Ellis County Art Association and Museum, 501 W. Main, Waxahachie, Texas. All the artwork created during the week will be moved over to Chatauqua Auditorium, Friday, June 3rd and will be on display there until Sunday, June 6, 10 - 4.

This painting is now on display at Rising Stars art Gallery, Mineral Wells, Texas

Wonderful! I love the water in the foreground. The colors as so soft and delicate.
