Sandy Front by Sheri Jones

Sandy River Front
10x8 oil on canvas
I created this on the banks of the Brazos River in Pecan Plantation outside of Granbury. I was struck by the morning sun and the long shadows it created around the trees and bushes. This was the second of three paintings I did that morning.  I get so excited when I finally go to paint  outside it makes me work even faster.  I created this with a palette knife with swift happy strokes.  This is available for purchase $125.00

I think you did a great job on the shadows and I like the soft quality of the background.

So beautiful Sheri. I also love your hydrangeas.

Hi Sheri - thanks for the blog visit :). I enjoyed looking through your blog; you do nice work handling a wide range of subjects. Love the florals and the old truck!

The shadows and soft edges are quite nice in this painting.
