It is a hunting resort on 11,000 acres and always a great place of inspiration.&nbsp; We went on the opening weekend for hunting and there were gun shots all around. We were in a safe zone, but it is still intimidating with the sound of gunfire all around.&nbsp; This small creek is the run off from their fishing lake. It was a foggy morning and the drive over was a challenge.&nbsp;The fog was still thick when I pulled up. I loved the mystery and drama of the thick atmosphere. I walked out on the pier to get a good view of the lake&nbsp;and saw this boat. I set up quickly and went to work. I had layed out my paint and premixed my grays before I left the house that morning.&nbsp;&nbsp;I was able to paint the fog&nbsp;as quickly as it faded. &nbsp;It was a relaxing way to spend my morning. When I decided to paint it I printed a hard copy. I forgot to adjust the printer set up and it automatically cropped the photo. I liked the way it printed and decided to go with this happy accident. Most of the drama was generated by the news media and as it turned out the air was safe and the freeways were open. We had a pretty good group despite all the drama of the day. I painted this with a palette knife and lots of colorful paint.
