The blue bonnets are blooming and I was excited to finally have a day off to go painting. I picked up my friend, Jill Randal and we took off early Saturday morning. We were on the hunt for a field of the delightful blue flowers that grace the landscape.  We didn't go too far outside of Glen Rose to find the blue bonnets blooming in full force.

This was inspired from my journey to Valensole, France with Art treks. Scott Williams and Niki Gulley introduced us to this incredible area last year.   The hollyhocks were at full bloom and delightful.  Valensole is a small village surrounded by spring flowers at every turn.
