Fossil Rim Bluebonnets by Sheri Jones

Fossil Rim Bluebonnets
9x12 oil on Raymar canvas panel

I painted this today on the outskirts of Fossil Rim in Glen Rose.  Fossil Rim is a wildlife center and filled with wild animals and wildflowers.
I met my friends, Jill Randall, Joyce Thomas and Vickie Guthrie there to enjoy the warm temperatures and seasonal flowers. The flowers are in full bloom and just spectacular this year.  They are a sight to see and enjoy. We were thrilled to be outside painting together. This painting SOLD through Dutch Art Gallery, Dallas, Texas

Sunset over Benbrook by Sheri Jones

Sunset over Benbrook
24x36 oil on gallery wrapped canvas

I created this larger studio piece from a small plein air study that I painted back in February. I did exercise my artist license and moved the sun to create this sunset.  I laid the big shapes in with a large paint brush and came back in the a palette knife.  I love the texture and color I can create with the knife.  This painting is available for purchase through Dutch Art Gallery, Dallas, Texas.

January Morning Two by Sheri Jones

January Morning Two
16x20 oil on panel
This is a re-do of an 8x10 plein air study. It was one created at the old bridge overlooking the Brazos River in  Granbury. They built a new bridge and left the old one up. You can't drive a car on it, but you can still walk on it. We love to go here because it has a great view there is a place to park your car. Two key factors when looking for a place to paint. This is available for purchase. $500.00
