This was painted at Chandor Gardens a few years ago.  I brought it out and made a few adjustments recently.  Over time it becomes obvious where changes need to be made to improve it.  Working on this reminded me of the pleasure I get when visiting a blooming garden.

Spring Trail by Sheri Jones

This delightful painting was inspired from the banks of the Brazos River. Spending time in nature, painting, gathering ideas and observing are part of the process. I came home filled with ideas and created this.

It recently sold to a new collector and she said it was a piece that spoke to her and she had to have it.  Her wonderful husband agreed it would make a great birthday present.  This is why I paint, to share, inspire and pass on the passion of a beautiful view. Thank you Laurie!

Sky Blue Lake House

This house is in view from my boat dock on Lake Granbury. I painted it plein air with fellow artist and friends. I invited a few artist over to paint and we were all drawn to the water. The winds were calm enough to create nice reflections in the water. It was a beautiful morning ending with a nice meal lunch on the patio. Thanks to my husband, BJ.

Nature's Glory

I seek the calming effects of the lake at sunrise. This is from a kayak ride that made for an early morning on the lake. The changing colors of the sky with the reflection on the lake was incredible. Immersing one in nature and noticing the beauty around you can do wonders for the soul.
