This view is opposite of the lake and caught my eye.   I was excited about painting here and the colorful paint is a result.  It was a nice day with highs in the seventies.   This was painted with a palette knife. It is located at the dam and turned into a great place to paint.  We used to launch our boat from this park and came here often.  I always admired this house with it's huge yard and beautiful landscape.  I have photographed the area, but never painted there before.  I hope to return soon. This was created at Pecan Plantation in Granbury. We were standing on an old bridge that has great views of the Brazos River below.  The early morning started out cloudy, but by the time we got here the sun was out and the temperatures were in the high 60's.  It felt great to be outside painting again.

I painted this today at Pecan Plantation in Granbury. The day started off in the 50's and was cloudy. The sun finally popped out and provided highlights on the barren trees. I painted this yesterday in the studio. I used a field study I created earlier in the year.  We were on the banks of the Brazos River.  I was with my friend Joyce Thomas and we were in her neighborhood of Pecan Plantation.  We go here often and always find something to paint. 

My husband set up a web cam and  a link on facebook. My friends and family were able to watch me create the majority of this one.   It is available for purchase through Dutch Art Gallery, Dallas, Texas
