When I get an opportunity to paint outside, I head out to the country as close to home as possible. This is not far from home and easy to get to before the sun comes up. The sunrise was spectacular on this particular morning.  This was painted with a palette knife and lots of colorful paint.

I loved the deep shadows and glowing color of this scene in Wheatland, Texas. I drive by this area every morning on my way to work. When the light is just right, I take a detour and drive thru this rural neighborhood. I painted this in the studio with a palette knife and lots of colorful paint.

I love it when a gardener extends the garden to the front yard. I found this home on a walk I took during my lunch hour. This is on the west side of Ft.
