Gray Day Study by Sheri Jones
9 x 12 oil on Raymar canvas panel
I painted this at a Jill Carver plein air workshop in Waxahachie, Texas. She is a skilled and talented teacher. She packs a lot of information in her workshops. If you ever get a chance to take from her I would jump at it. The main lesson on this day was recognizing and applying the right value. The gray grain towers against the gray day was perfect for this.

You really got a "little honey" here to use a Jill phrase. I'm so glad you were in the class too.
Very nice!
