I'm feeling grateful for the simple things, like our lake views and beautiful fall colors. his sunrise was viewed on one of our early morning fishing trips. This is one of my husbands favorite spots.

Bougainvillea

I created this during the Hidden Garden tour this past weekend. It sold right off the easel. I love it that happens.  The house I painted at was absolutely beautiful and highlighted with these huge pots of bougainvillea.  They were 40 years old and were glowing in the afternoon sun.  The owners move them inside the garage during the winter.  That's the only way to survive and get so large.

Early Birds

These fisherman were out early and taking advantage of the opportunity to catch the big one.  In the old adage "Red sky at night, sailor's delight. Red sky in the morning sailor's warning". 

 Jesus said, When in evening, ye say, it will be fair weather: For the sky is red. And in the morning, it will be foul weather today; for the sky is red and lowering. (Matthew XVI:2-3)
