Vibrant and Serene, New Contemporary Landscape Painting by Sheri Jones

Vibrant and Serene

30x24 oil on canvas

Traveling in the early hours of the morning has it's benefits.  Like this beautiful sunrise! The serene landscape drew me in and seemed to point to the incredible light.  I search for landscapes and chase the light in my journey to work.  This painting is filled with texture and vibrant color.

Pecan Valley Sunrise, New Contemporary Landscape Painting by Sheri Jones

Pecan Valley Sunrise

12x16 oil on canvas

This is from the park area of Benbrook.  It is just below the damm at Benbrook Lake. It has great distance views and glorious sunrises. I am often amazed at the natural color of the skies.

Big Rock Park

I met up with members of the Outdoor Painter's Society this week in Glen Rose, Texas. We came rain or shine. Fortunately it did not rain, but was misty and cool.

This was my first one of the day, and I was just happy to be outside and didn't mind the weather.  This is available for purchase. Please email me if you are interested.   Sheri@sheriart.net

Oranges and Pansies, New Contemporary Painting by Sheri Jones

Oranges and Pansies

10x8 oil on canvas

I painted this in the studio from a set up. The pansies are from my garden and just beautiful. The oranges added just the right pop of color. This has thick paint applied with a palette knife. It was a joy to create. It is available for purchase thru Assemblage Contemporary Craftsman Gallery.
