Snap Dragon Garden

14x7 oil on canvas

I created this at the Ft Worth Botanical Gardens one fine afternoon.  There was a gentle breeze, shade and colorful inspiration.  Painting on location has it's challenges, but also it's rewards.  It was a slice of heaven.

Hydrangea, New Contemporary Landscape Painting by Sheri Jones

Hydrangea

8x8 on  canvas panel

I created this on the last day of Paint Historic Waxahachie. I love this flower with it's variety of warm and cool colors.  The home owner came out and talked to me about his wife's love of the flower. She loved the ability to sway the color with amount of acid in the soil.  The more alkaline in the soil the pinker the flower.  This painting sold.
