I painted this from Comanche Peak on a beautiful Saturday evening. Comanche Peak is the highest spot around in Granbury.  My husband has a new camera and wanted to try it out. I painted and he set up his camera on the tripod while we watched the sun set.

I painted this today for the Pecan Plantation Art Guild in Granbury.  It was a good group that watched it this develop. I used a palette knife for the demo.  I did work on it when I got home and added a bit more to it.  It was a fun day!

I painted this from the banks of the lake at the marina in Granbury. The sun was starting to rise creating warm light. I met my friend Joyce Thomas there. We enjoyed a morning of painting outside in a refreshing location. This was painted with a palette knife and lots of colorful paint.

This is a from a spot overlooking Benbrook Lake. I have been driving by this location for months wanting to paint here. The timing has never been right so I finally took some photos. I painted this in the studio and enjoyed painting the clouds. This cool scene is just what we need during the hot days of summer.

These flowers are also called purple coneflowers and some of the species are used in herbal medicine and some are simply in gardens for their showy flowers.  They are tall and hardy summer flowers that can thrive in the Texas sun. I love these bright  pink daisies.

I painted this in the studio from photo I took at Rough Creek Lodge in Glen Rose. We were out scouting a place to paint and drove out to this resort. It's a hunting lodge and it was opening day. There were gunshots going off everywhere.  We were in a safe zone, but decided  keep driving.  I  liked the contrasting colors of the cattails and the lake.
