This is the 4th place mat I've painted in my truck series for my husband. I found this old faded truck in Cresson, Texas recently and knew I had to paint it.
I enjoyed combining the realistic view of the truck and abstracting the background.
A switch to painting with acrylics and a brush was a fun challenge.

Our trucks are wonderful. The vibrant colors and bold brushstrokes make the abstract and realism work together in a pleasing composition.
