This painting is the demonstration I did at the A.P. Gordon House on Saturday. I used a small field study as my source of  inspiration. This was during my solo show through Tarleton State University's Dora Lee Langdon Center. It runs until March 16, 2011. Exhibit open-Weekdays 9 a - 6 p and Saturday 10 a- 3 p. It's located in a beautiful old house in the quaint town of Granbury and is a great place for a show.  I had a good turnout and I appreciate everyone that stopped by.

I painted this today plein air. The weather was windy but warm.  My friend Jill and I took off looking for inspiration and we didn't go far.  We have painted in this area outside Granbury many times, but never went down this road.   We were thrilled to find this location. It was a quite country road with no traffic and so peaceful.  I'll bet we return here soon.
