This is a painting I created from a field study. The location is not far from home and easy to get to early. Watching the fresh new day reveal itself was a great reward. This painting was created with a palette knife and the paint was flying. It was such fun it seemed to paint itself.

Love the strong morning light on the foreground. It captures the freshness of a Texas morning, which is a great time to paint before the sun gets too hot.
