Road Side Still Life by Sheri Jones

Road Side Still Life by Sheri Jones

11 x 14 oil on canvas

This old truck is on it's last leg and setting outside a market in the panhandle of Texas. We saw it on summer vacation and I knew I had to stop on the way back for reference photos. I loved all the rust showing thru the vibrant colors of yellow and green.
This painting will be in my solo show at Tarleton's Langdon Center in Granbury in February 2011.

Forty Something Ford by Sheri Jones

Forty Something Ford by Sheri Jones

12 x 16 oil on canvas panel

This old ford was setting outside a business in one of the small towns we drove thru on our summer vacation. It was like the towns proud still life. I knew I had to stop and snap some pictures on the way back. I think it is a 46 Ford, but not for sure. I painted most of it with my palette knife and lots of paint.
