Misty Morning by Sheri Jones

Misty Morning by Sheri Jones
9 x 12 oil on canvas board This was painted in Marble Falls during the Paint the Town show and sale last weekend. It was raining gently, creating a very misty atmosphere. I popped open the umbrella and painted away. The winds were calm and I stayed dry for the most part.

A Tank of Bluebonnets by Sheri Jones

A Tank of Bluebonnets by Sheri Jones
9 x 12I painted this in Marble Falls during the Paint the Town show and sale. I registered early Friday morning and started cruising down the first country road I could find. The wildflowers were not hard to find. They are sprouting up everywhere. This was the first painting I did not far from the Perdernales River. The atmosphere was heavy and full of clouds.

Colorful Morning by Sheri Jones

Colorful Morning by Sheri Jones
8 x 10 oil on canvasThis was the second sunrise painting for the morning at Rough Creek Lodge on Saturday. The coffee was working it's magic. You learn to paint fast when practicing plein air painting. Such fun!

Bluebonnets and Wild Grasses by Sheri Jones

9 x 12 oil on canvas This was painted today from the banks of the Brazos River in Granbury. I really ramped up the color with this one and I love it. The winds were very gusty and knocked over my Easy L pallet, brushes, painting and all went splat. This painting comes with more sand texture that originally intended.

Blanket of Bluebonnets by Sheri Jones

20 x 24 oil on canvas This is a studio painting completed from a field study painted last spring. I am looking forward to this year's bluebonnet crop. They say it is going to be a banner year with all the rain we have had.

Texas Bluebonnets by Sheri Jones

Texas Bluebonnets by Sheri Jones
24 x 20 oil on canvasA small field study inspired this painting. The location was a treasured find. Last year the bluebonnets were few and far between and we could not believe our fortune. There were blankets of wildflowers. This was painted in the studio with lots of paint applied with a pallet knife. This painting is available for purchase $350.00
